Description
This is an art project I did for my AP Art 4 class. It was inspired by an artist by the name of James Marsh. Every fish in this fish exists, except for a select few that I just made up myself. I used two books from the library as reference. There's a lot of detail in this.
A synecdoche is actually a figure of speech in which a part is made to represent the whole or vice versa. It is a fitting name for this particular piece of artwork.
This was done with Prismacolor pencils on white paper
This piece has received a Regional Gold Key Award in the 2013 Scholastic Art Competition and is on its way to the National judging. Wish me luck!
